Feature Request: Limit Bandwidth on Guest Network
Exactly what the title says. I would like the ability to limit the available throughput on the Guest network so folks attached to guest can't use up all available bandwidth.

Hi rsingler —
Thanks for the feature request and sorry this one slipped by without a response!
Interesting idea, and I think a lot of customers will be very interested in this as we've heard many discuss how their ISP's are starting to put a hard cap on their monthly data usage.
Thanks again!

I second this feature request. Any idea if or when it may be available?

I just e-mailed this in not too long ago. I'm pulling 300Mb down and 100Mb up and I like to leave my Guest Network open to allow for easy connection for temporary visitors. Need the ability to really lock it down though, limited bandwidth with timeline for connection expiration.
Please add soon!

This is necessary feature and I hope eero can implement this soon.

When there a ETA for this

If this can be implemented, it would be a game changer for my use case otherwise there’s not much difference between giving our guests your normal network access.
-
I would very much appreciate this feature as well. Right now I have my guest network password protected with a password that is easy to tell guests because I don't want neighbors or others in the area using too much bandwidth. If I could limit the bandwidth of devices connected to the guest network and possibly auto-expire their connection after a period of time I would just leave it open.
-
I also second this feature big time. There's nothing worse than someone on your guest network streaming 4k in a low bandwidth environment and ruining things for everyone.

Honestly, I'll take any kind of device bandwidth control. Guest network is a nice start I guess but no control at all is very frustrating. Especially since you can see the devices and what they are using.
-
I second this. Please make this an option.

Please make this an option! It would be great to allow guest access to the wifi but enough to affect primary devices for gaming and movie streaming.

Eero, it's been 4 years since this this request was submitted. Considering routers have had this function since I was a child, I would think this would be on your forefront of development. Has this been implemented yet? Because the only literature I can find on it are forums of people requesting this feature.

this is VERY common feature that is stock in most home internet routers. please enable this feature.
-
This is definitely becoming more popular with the demand of working from home and making sure the kids don't hog all the bandwidth.

Over 5 years!!!
Any update? any progress? Should we just change our routers? -
Please add this feature.

Super important for our office!

6 years and counting. Could be a way to make a lot of folks happy :)
