FEATURE REQUEST: NEW DEVICE NOTIFICATION

I previously used Skydog routers and one of the features that they provided was sending a text message to my phone any time a new device would join the network.  I could then assign the device to a profile or blacklist it entirely.  This turned out to be awesome as I had a neighbor successfully get onto my network.  I wouldn't have known they were there, otherwise.   I'd really like to see this feature added.

    It would be nice to add an approval feature for a new device, I have a sharp kid that sometimes will start over and adds himself as a new device when he is blocked by a filter.

      Jeffriesjr I have requested this in the past, to throw the device into a "sandbox" type area so it can be approved or removed.

    This would be an amazing feature  - even just the ability for admins to authorise 'new additions', before they can access the network

      DestinationM couldn’t agree with you anymore. Would be very nice to receive the notification and having an option to allow/deny a requested before the device connects. These days it’s so easy to see other wifi passwords on android or iPhone devices.  The old days of MAC filtering was nice but people were worried about MAC address spoofing from true hackers. So here we are today, less secure to protect your wifi.
