802.1Q VLAN Trunking
In addition to the ability to add multiple SSIDs and assign VLANs to each, 802.1Q trunking for these vlans would be required to allow the EERO to tag traffic that is being sent out.

I need at least four SSIDs/VLANs - the main SSID/VLAN for Laptops & mobile devices, a guest SSID/VLAN, SSID/VLAN to isolate IoT devices and one more SSID/LAN for work intranet access (IT dept VPN policy requirement). Right now I'm running another AP to provide the latter three. I'd much rather be running one system for all four.

Wow, I'm glad I searched on this subject before actually purchasing! For those of us who are very strict about isolating IoT, trusted devices, phones/tables, guests, etc, we might have several VLAN. Right now, I operate 4 VLAN and 8 SSIDs (2.4 and 5 bands for each wifi network). I do this now on a Tomato-based router, operating as a WAP since I use pfSense for routing. Having these WiFi segments trunked over the single uplink from eero to my router is pretty much a necessary feature.
So, until eero supports 802.1q I simply can't consider it.
