All other devices connect with WPA3 enabled except a Tesla Wall connector. With WPA3 disabled it connects right away.

      Hello GP ,

I would check in with Tesla. I know we have quite a few customers with Tesla devices that can connect to the eero network just fine. But I've not worked with the devices personally. There could be a limitation with the wall connector you have and WPA3.

To learn more about how eero handles WPA3 you can review the article below.

Since 6.5 wpa3 has been awful, any device  using wpa3 is extremely slow . I can’t get over 50mb download , turn wpa3 off and my devices are back up to 300+

      Hello skelley5000 ,

Thank you for reaching out to us and welcome to The Community! I would like to take a look at this and troubleshoot why this might be happening. I will send you a direct message with instructions on how to get an email to me so I can review your network and start collecting data to find out how to get this behavior resolved.

As much as I like the app I want a web interface for admin functions. It is a glaring shortcoming not to provide this.

edstewbob And the fact that if ever Amazon cancels eero and I manage to get logged out, I will forever be unable to manage my router is a problem I was unaware of when I bought it…

Calion Or, come to think of it, resell it. Nor did I realize, when buying, that all my Internet activity would be exposed to Amazon. Though I guess I should have presumed that.

Since two days I want to install the Qingping Air Monitor and it doesn’t work. Now I find out it can’t connect with WPA3 enabled.(https://www.amazon.de/Qingping-Monitor-Compatible-Temperature-Humidity/dp/B092HK4BB1)

Since upgrading to 6.5, Ad Blocker rate went down significantly (blocking very little now). I tried toggling between profiles and network option but it makes no difference.  Is this a new bug? Any other suggestion?

Eero does not seem to be probably blocking network access to devices add to the block list. Starting to get fed up with these issues. I am about to switch to a new main router and use Eero routers in bridge mode. Plus, other routers have more functionality that Eero.

rayb30 Thanks for posting about this! Device blocking not working is definitely something we would like to investigate further. Send us an email or give us a call and we will be happy to look more closely. Some initial thoughts would be MAC randomization, or Private IPs, causing the eero system to view the device as a new device and circumventing the block, which is MAC address based.

Evan (eero support)  thank you for your quick response. I will take a look at those possible settings that may be causing issues with blocking devices and email Eero.

Evan (eero support) I discovered the issue! I had no custom settings besides DNS and Advanced Security turned on, so I restarted the Eero network after changing DNS to default and turn off Advanced Security, but still had the issue. Tested again after re-enabling Advanced Security, no change. I switched DNS back to custom with a restart now everything seems to be working as it should. Probably a manual hard reset would had done the trick.

I was a little to harsh in my initial post. Security is NOT an issue that Eero has. Next time, I’ll try the reset my network first before jumping to conclusions.

connectivity is something depending where you're at .. I'm having a hard time connect from my other house but from my main house it's no problem but my other house doesn't have Wi-Fi so I have a hit a few dead spots so even though cellular has some trouble getting in there but they have something to do with the lead paint but other than that this system is great and it's awesome and I'm going to buy a lot more of it

    Eero gurus,

I was connecting a home device (Ukoke Rollable 12,000 btu air conditioner) and the WPA3 setting on Labs prevented it from connecting so there must be something in its old handshake that Eero mistakenly tried to use WPA3 for. I’m assuming you want Eero to be able to distinguish when it needs to fall-back to WPA2?

    Hi all,

I’ve found that enabling the WPA3 feature provides a wifi compatibility issue with the first gen iPads. With WPA3 beta enabled, my iPad is kicked off the Wi-Fi and can’t rejoin. Disable it and it can.

Since having this device my gaming online has become frustrating as hell as my ps4 keep getting disconnected and game are ending in losses as a result.I then need to go to settings to test connection which is always there but as I said disconnects mid game which is pointless .why ps4 wont reconnect on it's own as it previously has and now I will have to deal with talk talk who will be slow to respond and make the issue worse I shoulda stuck with my old box

Deonsdad theb1st issue, you should never play a game console and or PC game on wifi.. if you can always use Ethernet. If not your behind everyone else right off the bat.. but if you continue to use wireless try reserving your IP, I had similar issues with other devices and by reserving my IP it fixed my connection issue..

skelley5000 will give it a go I'm not on wired connection as the engineer put the box in a different place and now it would be awkward to run cable across the floor

Hello. My partner has an iPod touch second generation that will not connect to the Internet if I turn on WPA three. Can this be looked into?

drdrem that old of a device won’t support WPA3 since it hasn’t been updated for years. You’ll just need to leave WPA3 disabled.

I wish I can manually choose what network I want my Xbox on. Eero keeps putting Xbox on 2.4ghz, I want it on 5G. This is driving me crazy.

Kev451 - is the Xbox close to the eero?  Also, does this model have a Gigabit Ethernet?  If you do have ethernet, then plug this directly into the eero.  The best connection for gaming would be ethernet and not WiFi at all....
