Drastic reduction of speed between eero pro 6 router and nodes

I have 900 mbps package on 2x eero pro 6 and speed tests hits 700 max in the room where the router is situated.but moving away from the room I only get 350 max and 200-250 max near the nodes and the rest of the property. Is this expected? House is not more than 1200 sq ft.

    I set up a new 6+ mesh today. I have a 1gig fibre ISP and I get about 950mbps, hard wired to my laptop. I get about 450mbps via wifi on my Pixel 6 pro while standing next to the main hub. I expected a bit better wifi performance tbh.

    What is the position of the router in terms of height. Is it minimum half way between floor and ceiling of the room ?

      raj Yes, 5 feet off the ground. Phone is 1ft from the hard wired hub

       This rings bell . One of my mates had this issue on his eero standard. I think the last resort would be to hard reset every thing and do a fresh setup.
