Select/Change the eero a device is connected

I’m finding that even tho I have a well saturated home from a mesh perspective, several devices don’t connect to the closest eero for some reason, giving a weak signal. It would be great to grab the device via the app and then select the eero that’s closest to help give a stronger signal.

my current example:

not connected:

- One product is 2 feet from the eero in the same room,

-  outdoor smart tv about 5-6 feet away

- and a ring flood cam about 12 feet away

connected:

- outside and farther away is connected (our rain bird for the irrigation) with a strong signal.

  • Does the Rain Bird irrigation controller readily connect and stay connected to eero mesh system? The Orbit B Hyve cannot even see the eero network! Nor does the Rachio from what I've been reading. Everything else however seems to work perfectly with our eero mesh network.

SparkyMike1 yes! Rainbird is strong and stays that way as far as I know. I don’t have the Orbit so cannot speak to that.

    • Ahessberg ok! Thank you for your reply, I am still searching for a remedy to getting the Orbit connected, but not opposed to having to buy a new irrigation controller if that is the only solution. Thank you again!
