Switching to Eero Pro 6E

I am trying to switch to Eero Pro 6E using the same SSID and password from the old router. However, I find that from about 25 devices in the house, only 7 connect automatically to Eero. These are fairly new devices and effects both 2.4 and 5Ghz devices. I am puzzled.
