What does external and internal port mean when doing port forwarding? I got a list of ports to forward from support but am sure how to do it

  • The external port is the port the traffic comes to on the WAN and the internal port is the port the device in your network is receiving the traffic.  Unless you want to redirect the traffic to a different port on the client, just use the same for both.
