I would like to receive a notification when one of my kids get home. Or when one leaves. Also maybe the possibility to use this information to make sure the lights are off when I leave the house through ifttt integration.

That functionality is provided via third-party devices and apps like Belkin's WeMo and their free app. Routers themselves don't have that physical ability.

Would also love to set a primary device like a phone of when that person comes and leave my home. My old router did which was plume. So would love to see you guys implement it in Eero.
