allow DHCP Relay behind NAT

I'd love to use the features that are only available in NAT mode.  However, I prefer to manage my static mappings on a system that isn't restricted to a mobile app.

It would also be wonderful if I could pick my own network space, as opposed to having the option of only three "custom" address spaces.

  • Hi  TheCase

Thanks for your feature request and welcome to the eero community!

Happy to share this with the team!

With regards to the second part --

It would also be wonderful if I could pick my own network space, as opposed to having the option of only three "custom" address spaces.

You can actually do this from the app. To do so, take the following steps:

    1. Open the eero app
    2. Tap the menu button in the top left corner
    3. Tap Network Settings
    4. Tap Advanced settings
    5. Tap DHCP & NAT
    6. Tap Manual IP
    7. Choose an IP prefix from the list

After choosing an IP prefix, you can then edit the Subnet IP and all other range options from the list below by tapping on any of the ranges (you should see a number keyboard to make the changes).

So for example, let's say you'd like your subnet to be 192.168.2.0. You would tap 192.168.0.0 for the IP address prefix and type in 192.168.2.0 for the Subnet IP.

I hope this helps. Should you have any other questions, feel free to give us a call at 1-877-659-2347 or email us at support@eero.com.

  • Jeff C. Thanks for the information.  That does help and is good to know.

However, I won't be using that feature until I can manage IP reservations externally.

    Thank you :)

  • is there a way to export the address reservations on to a text file so I can refer to it without having to launch the app - perhaps use it as a hosts file for local name resolution?
