Will Wall Mounting hurt performance?
Hello,
I tried searching this topic but couldn't find anything specifically answering this. It seems the eero themselves emphasize that I should place the eero on a flat surface due to the fact that it emanates it's signal mostly on the plane with which it is placed.
I really like the 3rd party vertical wall mounts to get devices off my counters but fear it will have a fairly dramatic effect on performance. I'm gonna test it myself but wanted to ask here to see if there was any prior experience.

There's several discussions about wall mounts on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/eero/search?q=wall%20mount&restrict_sr=1
And here's a discussion from this community: https://community.eero.com/t/18mwb3/wallmount-a-eero-unit
To summarize, wall mounting isn't officially supported, but it's unlikely to have a noticeable impact on performance.

Hi, efenili –
Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the Community! So, as far as wall mounts are concerned, the main thing to keep in mind is material. Metal mounts will tend to inhibit and interfere with the eero signal, and can keep the eeros from operating at their full potential.
Past that, the broadcast pattern of the eeros tends to be weaker on the underside of the unit, which means that if you have it placed perpendicularly on a wall, the area opposite the wall will potentially have a weaker signal. With this in mind, if possible we recommend vertically mounting on a wall towards the perimeter of the house, with the dome of the eero facing inward.
