Identifying Devices...

I just installed an Eero mesh system, but we have so many devices, that it is hard to identify them.
Is there an easy way to do this?  For instance, none of my Amazon Echo Dots show up, but they may be listed under another device name.

Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!

  • I had the same issue with some of the older "smart devices" in my home.  I have three amazon devices and I simply unplugged one at a time to identify which was which.  In the app, the unplugged device would show up as "recently connected."  I'd rename it and then plug it back in.

For my smart bulbs and cameras, etc I had to go into their respective apps on my iPad and look at the device details to figure out what the IP address or in some cases, what the MAC address was.  I then went to the eero app to match the IP address to the device.  I renamed them and finally, it got down to the last few items which were pretty easy to figure out.

    Hope this helps.
