Combine eero pro w/two sats w/new eero mesh for iOT isolation?

I want to isolate my IoT devices on a separate network at home. I have an eero pro and two sats, and was thinking I'd add one of the new eero mesh units to supply the separate network for my IoT devices by cascading routers...current eero Pro would continue as firewall/main network, new eero mesh would provide secondary IoT network.

Any reasons this won't work w/the config above as planned?

Will the eero mesh units be covered by the info below on this site that says that all eero networks will implement WPA3 via FW update in the future?

  • This forum has become a desolate prarie...look at all the questions w/zero responses (including mine here). I'm even trying to spend MORE money on eero products and still no response.

There used to be a reasonable time between question and response here, someone from the eero team would help when customer-to-customer responses were not happening.

Since the Amazon buy-out it's been sad...just crickets.

Danabw All the activity by the company is on /r/eero and it's pretty continual.

txgunlover Thanks much for the pointer. :)

Perhaps eero can provide some breadcrumbs from here to their reddit sub, would be helpful to know that I can't assume monitoring their own forum is not the priority.
