Eero with Ethernet backhaul

Hi All - new to the community and new to eero!

I have attached a schematic of how I have set up my home network. I have a question about the Ethernet back haul.

will any WiFi device (connected to any of the three eero) be directly be able to acces my storage and vim ware servers? This is important to me as I work from home and need the best setup to connect to my “home data centre”.

i have a feeling that the uplink from garage eero to corecswitch is not really working..

cheers

Yes, any Wifi device can talk to any wired device on your network, regardless of which eero they are connected to (unless your WiFi device is connected to the eero guest network, since that isolated the traffic from the main network).

cMoo92 thanks for your answer. I understand that. What I am confused by is that the app tells me that “all wired” peripherals are connected to the eero-Upstairs. That’s what is confusing me.

Hi Rohit, I am hoping you can help me with this...

I just purchased an eero yesterday.  Set it up as per directions.  Logged onto the Network I made and all is good.  EXCEPT .. the original computer that was hooked up to the modem is on ETHERNET.  It now is not getting a good signal because it must be connected to the old signal.  I do not see where to change it.  In other words when  I see my computer it gives me the available Internet to connect to, but this Apple computer does not.  So researched it and saw that it is connected via ETHERNET.  I will call EARTHLINK, but thought since you have this setup I would start by asking you for your help.  Thanks so much!  joya

Joya Comaux If the original computer is connected via ethernet, then technically its should be better signal. Have you tried unplugging the ethernet cable from the apple computer?

    Hi Rohit

Thank you so much for responding.  I actually found the eero support phone number and gave them a call.  It was an easy fix.  Just had to unplug the Ethernet cable from the computer .... take it out of the modem and plug it into the back of the eero.

    All the best,

    joya
