Block (Blacklist) certain websites
I need to have the ability to block certain websites in the profiles area. It would also be great to have the ability to whitelist certain sites as well.

Especially with remote learning this feature seems absolutely necessary to help ensure that kids are staying on task during the school day. I bought an eero assuming that it would have this kind of granularity (my bad for not checking, but it's a pretty common feature), and I'm likely to let the trial expire and just go back to OpenDNS.

Ok, tired of waiting for Eero team to provide this feature (custom blacklist). I resolved my issue by purchasing the Circle Home Plus unit for $70 from Best Buy and connecting it to my Eero base unit. The base functionality (no subscription required) of the Circle will allow you to create profiles and then restrict certain popular websites (like YouTube) as well as allow you to add your own custom websites to block (filter). The base features also includes Usage Time and History (which is great as you can start to block numerous sites you did even know your kids were going to).
There is a subscription service as well that will provide some of the same features as Eero so you could use their advanced services and cancel Eero's subscription or use Eero advanced services and just use Circle Home Plus base features.
Here is link to Circle page where you can purchase for $69 or check Best Buy:

If Eero team could ever update their software to do all the things the Circle is doing it would be perfect.
Hope this helps all the parents out there struggling to keep their kids focused on their school work during the day. Especially those with Chromebooks issued by school that do not provide any way to apply restrictions.

I'm updating my Amazon review for this product because everyone should know that it comes with basically no security features in terms of blacklisting/whitelisting. I wish I had known that when I bought it, at least. This is a NO BRAINER and if eero can't get with the program and recognize a need that existed long before we were all working and schooling from home, then I'm better off just buying a stronger router (or two) and going back to using OpenDNS. It has been a nightmare having four kids at home distance learning while they have free rein over the internet when I'm not looking. With two autistic kids who don't understand what's appropriate behavior or that the school monitors what they're viewing on their school-issued Chromebooks, I depend on a product that provides reliable and consistent internet protection for my kids and what we are getting now with eero is not cutting it. It's extremely frustrating that this simple request for a blocking feature has been ignored for THREE YEARS now. Everyone should update their product reviews NOW so that other parents don't unwittingly purchase this without realizing how lacking in safety features it really is.

Piling on a bit but this is more important than even for those of us running eero in our now homeschools. I recently purchased and setup eero and thought I did enough research but I guess not. If I had known this basic functionality was missing I would have gone with a different product. I have found requests for this going back 3 years. I have serious concerns about the eero product team's ability to set priorities at this point.

Please implement this!!! This is now more important than ever with children doing school on chromebooks from home now/during COVID-19. This will help promote ethical human use of technology and could also help address child safety concerns. Both of these are VERY IMPORTANT!
As a user, I need to have the ability to block certain websites, like youtube or something that is not child appropriate, on a per device or per profile basis. As a user, I need to have the ability to have that same blocked website, like youtube, available on other devices or profiles.

I just purchased two 3 packs of the Eero Pros and am planning on purchasing two more. It has been three years. I can’t believe the router still doesn’t allow me to block certain web pages. Ideally that would be free since it is just a black list but at the very least, it should be part of your subscription service. I would like to be able to block youtube and Netflix during certain school hours but allow it on his devices outside of school hours. I guess I will have to set this up using a crontab and doing it inside my Mac or see if I can do it with screen time. I believe Apple Screen time supports this.

I just left a review on Amazon with a lower rating than I would give this product if it had this feature and explained why. Since this forum doesn't seem to mean anything to the eero product team I would suggest that anyone that purchased online go leave a similar feedback on the site they bought it on. I know I would not have bought this product if I knew it did not have this very basic feature and I'm sure others are in the same boat. Maybe if they start seeing their average rating drop and losing sales they'll wake up.

Hi Everyone! Before we launch this new feature, we need more customers to test the functionality in our Beta environment. If you want early access and to be a part of the Beta testing, please fill out the information in the link below! We will reach out with follow up information to the first 20 or so people to fill out the survey later this week or early next week.
