Block (Blacklist) certain websites
I need to have the ability to block certain websites in the profiles area. It would also be great to have the ability to whitelist certain sites as well.

Are we able to block specific sites for specific devices yet? I just bought my eeros so I need to figure this out quick and return it if I can’t do it (unless there is something else I can add on).
I’ll even take having to block a website for all devices. I just need to block YouTube while my son is doing his homework. I’ve hunted around in the app and I don’t see a way to do this.
I don’t want to block anything else, just YouTube.
I see that was the original request three years ago so I’m guessing if it hasn’t happened it’s not happening? Do I have other options better than returning my eeros.
my request is very specific. The ability to block a website or unblock a website whenever needed for a specific device.

Thank you for trying to implement this feature at last, but quite frankly, it just doesn't work. At all. After adding several sites to the blocked list, my son can still access them without issue. There aren't "bad" sites per say, but like many others, he gets way too distracted and needs help staying on the sites he's allowed to access.

Shaun H you are using Chrome and this is where the issue comes in. Chrome uses "helper" apps and uses encrypted connections to allow website that you have blocked in Eero app to load - see the screenshot below. As you can see youtube is blocked (not loading in Safari, but Chrome has it loaded - no problem). Eero developers should take a note of this phenomena.

Was really hoping, perhaps unrealistically, that this would also block/filter the corresponding APPS to all of these aforementioned http/https... - such as SnapChat, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc, etc, etc
Thus far in my usage, blocking YouTube (for example) works for browser access, but does nothing to block the YouTube app (available on virtually every platform, not to mention the Chrome Helper 'apps' previously mentioned).

Thank you to the eero team for implementing this new feature! For me, it's working exactly as described for my setup now.
Previously, I had to redirect the DNS to OpenDNS and block individual sites there, but the new Block/Allow feature lets me control access for specific profiles right in the app. I can block epicgames and the nvidia gaming interface for my son's devices, and it breaks the Internet connections of the gaming desktop apps and websites. I can add the Block during normal school hours and remove it later.
Currently, it's a manual process to add the Block and then remove it, but the eero team announced that a scheduling feature is coming next. I really appreciate the ongoing development.

Hello all
None of the filter features of actually working. I'm trying to block sites and no matter what I do they're still open. The feature is not working. I called the technical support team and I have yet to hear back from them why it is not working.
I'm seriously considering returning the eero 6. If I can't do the basics then I don't need it
I'm a paying customer to their secure plus and I should get these things to work

+1 request for a schedulable allowlist/denylist for specific websites, so that (for example...) kids don't get sucked into You/Tube during school hours. Super important, especially with so many kids attending school remotely from home now.

To anyone from the UK, this feature is ONLY available with Eero's subscription service, Secure, which is not offered to UK users.
Very annoying.

Hi Jeff C., I am hoping that you add this feature so I can block by domain and by specific website. Thank you.

Hi. So, I have a couple of Eero 6 Pros from my ISP. Really sad to find out they have no web interface and that there is absolutely no way to control or configure from a computer. Anyhoo, trying to blacklist ad delivering domains, and the only way to do it is to add them ONE AT A TIME, WITH MULTIPLE TAPS ON A PHONE. No way to load a list. This is barbaric. Kinda forcing clients to go buy another device simply because of the very strange way y'all chose to implement this. Please change this. It isn't 2001 anymore.
