Block (Blacklist) certain websites
I need to have the ability to block certain websites in the profiles area. It would also be great to have the ability to whitelist certain sites as well.

My old 10+ year old netgear has a block websites option. Please consider adding this.
We're already paying $400+ for 3 eeros; would be nice to have this option without paying extra per month on top of the existing large price tag. Netgear has been in business for a long time and doesn't have a monthly fee for their products. -
This seems like an obvious/necessary feature for Eero Plus. As I commented elsewhere. If I can get more granular filtering using OpenDNS' $10/year plan, why can't I get this using Eero's much pricier option?
I understand and value Eero's approach to making configuration easy and dead simple. However, I think that almost all people who are interesting in family filters will also want the ability to whitelist/blacklist.

I see this as a requirement for any security filter and very surprised it is not yet available. Can you provide an update if this is even on the roadmap and if there is an expected date for this feature? There are many aspects of eero plus that I love, but the lack of this feature is making me think I need to move back to openDNS.

Agree with others. My kids are at the point where I want to give them some internet access, but the filter groups are simply not enough. I need the ability to apply whitelists and blacklists to a family profile. Without this basic functionality, I will soon be looking elsewhere for a router. OpenDNS does not give you device/group level settings. It's an all or nothing solution from what I can tell for the whole network. That doesn't work for parents who can hit sites on the internet at any time of day, but I want my kids blocked from certain things during homework hours or other times when they simply are not supposed to be using YouTube, etc.

Same here... my timeline for waiting on this feature has run out. I absolutely love my eero router and access points that built what is by far the best wireless network coverage I have ever seen for my home. I even signed up for eero plus as soon as it came out last year to support the company because I like their products so much... but this is a very basic feature that is becoming more critical with kids that are getting older. It should be such a basic piece of functionality (especially for those that sign up for eero plus). I really don't understand why it hasn't been added to the system at this point.

For anyone with school age kids this is would be a huge improvement. All the schools in our area have moved towards online homework and being able to blacklist all the gaming sites would make it that much easier to know that I can finish my work without having to constantly check on the kids to make sure tthey are not sidetracked on utube or some gaming site.

Hi Drew,
I was on my way to buy a eero system until, en-route, I researched this one topic and then found your system doesn't meet my requirements. Many parents would like to be able to block certain websites. As was mentioned earlier in the thread YouTube during homework hours being a specific example. You should provide this functionality soon before a competitor gets ahead of you and purchasers like me go elsewhere.
Regards.

I too have children who while doing homework on their laptops sneak off to other services. Yes, we try to be good parents and watch everything they are doing, but we have to be honest with ourselves and understand that times are changing and we need to change with them. That said, it's been a year since people have been requesting this functionality to be added to the Eero Plus service and it doesn't seem likely this will be added any time soon (if at all). A quick search around and it looks Google WiFi (a competitor home mesh router) supports this as well as a few other competitors. Others here have suggested Disney Circle (an add-on device to go between your router and home network). So the question stands: Are you actually considering adding this functionality, or just hanging a virtual carrot in front of us (by saying that you've been considering it all this time) to attempt to keep us around? It's okay to say that you don't plan to support it (perhaps the number of people requesting this type of functionality is actually pretty small, or perhaps the storage space for a small json file is not even feasible on the Eero to store a list of IPs/Domain (I highly doubt this)), but at least let us know so that we can consider another option or service.
Thanks! -
Would would really be nice is if Eero Plus could leverage ScreenTime via an API and use either the settings in ScreenTime to turn off or allow access or for that matter changes made in Eero Plus would push back to ScreenTime for either App restrictions or URL restrictions. Unfortunately doing a little research, there currently is no public API yet for ScreenTime that would allow eero to implement something like this.
