Block from Network while in Family Profile

I am uncertain if this is working as intended or if its a design flaw, but I find it cumbersome that I cannot Block a particular device that is in a Family Profile without first removing it from the Family Profile.

I often want to block a device that is on my network to get them off the device, or make them come to dinner, or make them do their chores.  I have a family profile assigned to the devices to block adult content.  In order to Pause their Internet usage, I have to remove the device from the family profile first.  It would be nice to have an ad-hoc option of blocking a device on my network that is in a family profile without having to remove it form the family profile.

  • One solution for you is to create multiple profiles for each person and then you can just pause that profile for the people you want.

Along these same lines, I wish I could enforce safe filters for every device on the network without having to assign to a profile. That would make it so that even if somebody new got on my network, I know their surfing is filtered. This would also alleviate your issues so that content filtering was on everything.
