Feature Request: Add support for PPPoE
many ISPs, including CenturyLink require PPPoE. Without this support, eero cannot be used as a router and only as a bridge.

Here we are, a year later, still have my 4 eeros in bridge mode on CL fiber. Why doesn't eero just mark this feature request ,(PPPoE & vlan tagging) 'not doing' rather than 'considering'. Gives us false hope.

All, FWIW, I put my Eero gateway in my CL router DMZ. Goodbye, bridge mode. Good thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/eero/comments/9haw7n/steps_for_centurylink_fiber_eero_in_dmz/
Now the CL router is basically a 2-port gb ethernet switch: no routing/dhcp/NAT. Works great. Will leave more comments if I notice any downside.

I live in Japan and my ISP only uses PPPoE. I’m paying for 1Gbp but only getting 150-300 depending on bridge or double NAT with my TP-Link AC2300 router and Eero. Bridge gets me faster speeds but requires a router reboot very often. Requesting developer response to the status of this highly voted request.
Kinda a shame that this thread is full of hopes but we can’t even get a “We are really working on it” or “We decided not to” regarding PPPoE support. I bought a Gen 2 during my visit to the states and it made a world of difference for my family there. I decided to buy another for myself and bring it to Japan. Unfortunately, most ISPs here use PPPoE which means that Eero is missing out on a market out here.

Hey Support, Any update on this request? It's a long time due feature. I wished I knew that you were not supporting PPOE connection before buying my Eeros. I can only use them as Bridge.

+1 centurylink fiber. Going to try the dmz option but ideally I’d ditch the double-router situation

Soon eero is going to be a paper weight for me without PPPoE, I have to invest on other gigabit router inorder to use eero, this wifi router is useless unless it's going to support PPPoE. I have made a worst decision for going with eero over Orbi

+1 for adding PPPOE support. Honestly, I did not even check to see if Eero supported this before buying. I just assumed because every other router supported it the feature would be there. Really dislike having to double NAT my network. This is a huge miss for Eero.

I do have to say, this was a huge blemish on my Eero experience, and it came right after I unboxed it and plugged it in. I have Windstream DSL, Static IP in Bridge Mode. I expected to set up the Eero the same as every other router I have ever used: Plug it in, select PPPoE, enter my credentials, and off I go. Instead, I had to do a factory reset on my modem, which screwed up my Static IP settings (and I still have not gotten that sorted out) which in turn, screwed up my OpenDNS account. Aside from all that, though, I've been pleased with Eero thus far. I've always had the usual issues with DSL: bufferbloat when someone is uploading, which kills download speeds, and it seems like Eero is doing a good job of making sure all devices on my network behave themselves and not choke the network. So good job there. Just please, implement PPPoE!

Does Eero staff ever look at this? Give me one good reason for me not shoving this non-PPPoE stuff back into the box and returning. Why double NAT when I can buy google mesh? Mad at myself for not even considering that a router product didn't cover a basic protocol. Will let folks know on Amazon product reviews of this product's failure.

Absolutely need. Have my network on a UPS and the Garage doors are Wifi enabled. Have a POE access point in the garage so if the power goes out, it stays on...and I can use the Phones to open the doors. Would love to have a seamless network...all EERO

Looking to make the move from Comcast to CenturyLink and glad I found out about this. Since this is still in "under consideration" I won't get my hopes up since i'll need both this and VLAN ID to make it happen. I've liked my eero for the past 2 yrs but if I go CL this may be a deal breaker since there are other options.
