Feature Request - Reboot from App (remotely reboot)

I recently had to reboot 2 of my EERO's.  Had to manually go unplug them and then plug them back in.  Downstairs, then upstairs.  I tell ya...lol  ;)

Would be nice to have a single "Reboot" button in the App that just reboots all EERO's on my network.  And, automatically handle any sequencing of reboots between EEROs (if required).

    Hi everyone —

It gives me great pleasure to share with the members of this thread that with eero app version 2.10.0 for both iOS and Android, the ability to reboot your eeros from the app is now available.

I know this has been one of the bigger requests, and we greatly appreciate everyone taking the time to share their interest in this feature, as well as for your ongoing patience and support.

For more information, please see this Help Center article.

Jeff C. Thanks Jeff and the Eero team! This feature is great. I tested it out in the beta app and it's very well implemented.

Jeff C. Only took a year.  Maybe there's hope for device by device total bandwidth usage reporting yet.

I would love this option.  I have a device setup with port forwarding and sometimes it looses the connection.  A reboot normally helps. It would be nice to do this remotely.

I requested this earlier, and haven't heard much in the way of an update on it.  It would make things a lot easier than having to unplug each Eero to reboot them.

Jeff C. Why does little EERO think that trying to be secretive like a big Apple or Microsoft makes good business sense?  Your success is all about word of mouth and reviews, not because people feel they have any real ties to the brand.  Your silence does nothing but frustrate those who invested early in your product, hoping that it'd be something different and new.  The rest of the industry is catching up really fast, and in some areas, surpassed.

Count me in as a vote for it - for the exact reason the OP mentioned.

+1 very helpful in placement / testing placement of eeros, and during support calls (eero team has asked me to plug and unplug many times)

I have not had to reboot yet since installation but see the value in this functionality.  It has my vote.

I had to reboot the other day to force my AppleTV (which I moved to the second floor) to reattach to the network on a different hub. I'll add that putting a "reboot primary" and "reboot individual" actions would be most helpful for diagnosing issues.

Agreed. Both for individual node rebooting and the entire network (all nodes) to reboot would be ideal.

Just checking in... since this seems to be the most requested feature and (seemingly) the easiest to implement; when can we expect the next update? I'm just curious how often the team is trying to push out new features.

Thanks for checking in,  DMcWetty 🙂

As you may have seen, we just released a new update to the eero app. Our team has been hard at work on this update, and we are excited to start working on various improvements and new features. No updates at this time on reboot from app, but should there be any news, this thread will absolutely be updated.

    Thanks again!

So there technically is a way to reboot all Eero's remotely (or on Wifi) right now which I use all the time.  If you change a DNS server it causes all the Eero's to reboot for the change.  I just toggle my secondary from 8.8.4.4 to 8.8.4.5, wait for a reboot, then change it back (which triggers a second reboot).

For me itt's a usable stop-gap solution until there's a real reboot option (still need a "reboot Office Eero" option to do one at a time.
