IP address change

I have a very complex home network with multiple devices and static addresses which I don’t want to charge for multiple reasons.  Is it possible to use a different address space other than 192.   10. 0r 172.  Somthing unique such as 165.78.0.0.

255.255.255.0

  • Those 3 IP address ranges are the *only* ranges designated for local private networks. That’s not an eero thing—that’s a “this is how the internet works” kind of thing. If you used IP addresses outside those, there’s a very real chance you’d run into issues. This is why eero won’t let you “customize”. But there’s no real reason you’d need to use something different. With the 10.x.x.x subnet you’ve got hundreds of options. If your static IP devices are currently using 10.0.0.1-254 addresses, you can just set eero to use 10.1.0.1-254.
