eero home vs Pro / Double NAT

I'm trying to understand the difference/benefit of the Home version vs the Pro version. I know the Pro doesn't use beacons so what's the advantage? The extra ethernet ports would allow me to hardwire my eeros for backhaul but what other advantages?

I plan to run double nat as I don't wish to disturb my existing router/network config. Is there any difference in that between Home and Pro?

Thanks for your question! Like you've already mentioned, the main difference between the Pro and Home packages is that Home comes with an eero and two Beacons, and the Pro comes with three eeros. Outside of the extra ethernet ports, the regular eeros are all tri-band, which allows it to deliver even more reliable fast speeds to more devices. Beacons are dual-band and can be easily plugged into any outlet. They also have a handy night light! Both the eero and the Beacons handle double NAT the same way, so no worries there.

Hope this helped! Please let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Thank you. Yes that makes a lot of sense. So if I have a lot of wireless devices and work from home several days a week it might be worth the upgrade to Pro.
