Outdoor Security Cameras Coverage

I live in South Florida and house is 2-story approximately 3800 sqft.  I recently bought the 3-pack Eero Pro to replace my old Orbi.  I get great coverage inside my house and speed test consistently show 600Mbps.  I have 5 outdoor cameras that are all mounted to the house that can barely stream (not a new problem).  My house was built in 2013 and meets all the new hurricane building standards, made of concrete block, metal studs, hurricane windows, etc.

I'm hoping someone can provide some sort of magical solution/suggestion that could get better signal outside the house to allow the cameras to work better and more consistently.  I was considering putting one of the Eero's in the attic however I am concerned about heat/humidity destroying it over the summers

  • Hello,

Currently we do not have an eero that is designed to be used outdoors. One possible option is to move one of your eeros as close to the windows as possible, while keeping them out of direct sunlight.

    Thank you,

  • Hi James,

I also have a similar problem.  I'm not sure an outdoor Eero would even help in this case if it can't get signal to repeat.  Preferably I'd like to be able to specify, by device MAC address, which router/satellite the camera (or other device) by default

  • Hello,

I want to know what is the range of an outdoor WIFI camera?
