Eero pro drops connection from internet when it rains?

I live in the PNW,  it rains a lot!  And I'm outside of city limits,  I just installed Eero pro.  We have satellite internet with Viasat, the modem is a combo unit with a built in wifi router.  I disabled the router a few years back and have been running a NetGear Nighthawk wifi router without issue.  Since I have installed the Eero pro, internet drops every time it rains.  The viasat modem has not lost connection, I even went as far as plugging in the NetGear router again this morning and we had internet again without problems.  Had anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?  I might have to return all the equipment if a little rain halts everything.
