No 5Ghz wifi network available on my brand new eero
Hi, I set up my eero for the first time yesterday and all was ok to start with, a few hours later we noticed the 5Ghz wifi option was no longer visible, I have plenty of experience in network management and a selection of devices that can use it. I tried a hard reset but that hasn't helped I tried switching the temporary 5ghz off option. But no use. I can not see any option on the app which can identify 5Ghz selection. It just isn't visible to any device to connect to. only the 2.4Ghz wifi
Can anyone help me here, please?
Hello Hellworld ,
The eero broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz on the same SSID. When a devices send the connection attempt to the eero network, the eero network will then send the acceptance with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The device then decides which connection to accept.
If you take a look at some of your devices through the eero app and view their details, are none of your devices connecting to 5GHz?
Hey everyone. I have an Eero pro router connected to my main router in my living room, and a beacon next to my gaming setup in my bedroom. I need strong wifi to run the Shadow gaming app. My original plan was to connect the Eero directly to my PC via ethernet, but long story short I can only do this if my computer is in the living room and that's not an option right now, so I'm relying on the wifi beacon.
