Still a bit confused on how I set this thing up.
My home does not have ethernet wiring. Like many, I have cable liek for Cable TV run throughout the house.
I know I can simply run a cable into a modem and an ethernet cable into one eero and have the other two placed around the house connected to the gateway one wirelessly.
I think it would be advantageous to have each eero plugged into its own modem, which is then plugged into the cable in the wall.
Is this even possible? How do I go about getting this all set up with three modem/eero combos?
Hello EeroHero1234 ,
You'll only need one modem. Your first eero, we call it the Gateway eero, will connect to the modem using ethernet. The other eeros can connect to the Gateway over WiFi. If you wanted them wired up you will either need to hire a custom installer to install MOCA or look into how you can setup your own MOCA system. MOCA lets you use those cable line connectors to connect your devices up to your router.
Alternatively, you can also pay to have ethernet run through your home. If you have any questions regarding setup you should absolutely reach out to our phone support as they will be able to assist you in setting up your eero network at your home. I have shared a link below that will help you identify the number number for you to call.
