Does eero work with t-mobile internet??

Yes, eero should work fine with the T-Mobile internet as long as they provide internet access via ethernet port for the head/gateway eero to hardwire into.

No... Unless using Access Point mode and even then, Eero still has issues with T-Mobile Home Internet. TMHI is a ipv6 only service and does not passthrough the ipv6 normally to a router. It uses CGNAT to create virtual ipv4 addresses. Because of this a router needs to have ipv6 passthrough or bridge mode (called different depending on brand). Eero & Google Nest do not offer this feature. Therefore you would be forced to use in Access Point mode to get full features of ipv6.
And I would know, because I had Eero but switched to TMHI and Eero was awful because of the lack of this feature. I ended up having to go get TP-LinK Deco's which if you read on reddit is the routers with the least issues on TMHI. But again, it's recommended to use in access Point mode for the least issues. TMHI works great and is fast but the way it was built, makes things very breakable on routers. I see speeds between 250-700mbps download where I live with TMHI depending on the time of day, etc... But it works for me.
I was very sad Eero has not commented on bringing ipv6 passthrough/bridge mode to their routers, months after is was requested. Not even a update or comment if it can be added.

That might explain why my Eero connection to my TMHI modem keeps dropping and I get a red LED on all 3 Eeros. Never had this issue with ATT Home Internet and I don't like ATT at all. I did notice that my Eeros have an IPv6 choice under the Eero menu. I have gone through three TMHI modems thinking it was the modem. This is very frustrating.

I know this is an old post but if anybody’s reading over it, my eero works great with T-Mobile home Internet. I just hooked it up and it started working immediately since I already had a network set up previously. The only thing that changed was the WAN address. I’ve had zero problems. I do recommend turning off the Wi-Fi on the T-Mobile router though. It involves downloading the script online and following a few steps, but it’s easy to do.

hollywoodclo OMG good. I was about to pack it in. I just got the T-Mobile 5G Gateway in the mail. My eero 6 has been happily setup for a while (using Verizon LTE) and I need to do this the easy way. The T-Mobile device is set up in a window, successfully connected, and now I have it hardwired via ethernet to the EERO head device. I see the option and the EERO app to manually change the WAN IP information but I am unsure where to locate all of the settings.
I am on settings/network settings/ISP settings/WAN type/ where DHCP default is currently set for the Verizon unit (IP address, subnet mask, router IP).if I select static, IP, then it looks like I’m supposed to manually enter those fields. Does T-Mobile provide those? The back of my t-mobile gateway has IP address printed on the sticker.

socketcreep you shouldn’t have to do anything. Your eero should do all that for you. Just plug it in. Make sure you test the T-Mobile Gateway in several different areas of your house and put it in the place that has the best signal. I was able to get a signal that says “very good” in my Living Room. Throughout the rest of the house it says “good.” Needless to say I put it in the living room.

Thanks so much! I actually went into the settings and realized— I either need to put the ISP or eero in bridge mode. So I selected the eero. (I waited for the eero reboot, and it worked like a champ)

Thanks for the encouragement. I did the same -- just plugged the TMHI into my existing eero network and it works just fine. No issues.
However, the eero is significantly slower than the TMHI's on-board wifi. The eero is getting about 100-140Mbps and the TMHI is clocking in regularly over 360Mbps, sometimes as hi as 424Mbps. I'm trying to get to eero support to find out if that's the limit of my eero network. If so, I may no longer use it but stick with the TMHI's on-board wifi.
The TMHI's range is enough for our modest house, though I've yet to check the range at the further corners of my garden. Unless eero tells me how it can be faster, I'll eventually let it go. But for at least an interim period, I'm probably going to connect the eero network back to my cable modem for as long as I have that as a backup. But if and when I finally get rid of cable, I may no longer need the eero.

Hey not sure if you guys can help me a little bit off topic maybe I have no Internet and I was wondering if I buy EERO can I connect it to my T-Mobile cell phone to work when I’m at my place of business because I only need it when I’m there

Over the past week, I’ve also started having this same issue that @AmazinglySmooth was having after 3 months of working fine. I’ve moved to leveraging the eero Internet Backup feature to connect to my T-Mobile Home Internet as @mkroeger suggested as a workaround which has me up and running.
Rather than an IPV6 issue as others have outlined, my eero goes into a state where it doesn’t recognize the T-Mobile Gateway as the WAN connection and instead, gives the TM GW a DHCP address as if it was an endpoint. For some odd reason, the TM GW accepts this and tries to use the eero as the WAN connection rather than the 5G modem.
Removing the wired connection and using the eero Internet Backup is a workaround that has been working for me. Not ideal but it does work until I can find a fix for the wired problem.
As for speeds in this backup mode, over the past few days, Speed tests have been 400-700 down and 70-100 up regardless of testing when connected to the TM GW or eero.
