New and channel issue

Hi there. Just bought my eeros pro and really want this to work. However, I don't get much better speed. One new thing is the Firesticks now are on 5G which is great. However they won't stay connected since they want to use channel 48 but it connects to 36 and channel 36 is always poor. Im told you can't change the channel manually on the eeros. Any ideas or should I punt and get my money back?  Thanks

  • Your eeros take a few days to survey your RF environment and make the best routing decisions and channel selection. The main thing is not to interrupt the process by rebooting your eeros as it causes this process to start over.

    Hang in there and things should improve. Mine typically complete around 48 - 72 hours after a mesh reboot with several channel changes occuring during that period resulting in a 30% or greater increase in speeds over wifi once they finish the process if that helps.
