Better vpn support/option for eero+

Enc.me is cumbersome and looks like it hasn’t been updated since windows 98se. Can we get the option to add our own config files to the router or Atleast get a KNOWN provider in eero+ such as express/nord/PIA? I would prefer to just be able to add a config to the routers settings and if I’m right that was a promised feature when promoting the making of the router but so was openWRT it’s a fantastic product and I love eero+ but the vpn option is horrible doubt it’s price because the antivirus is MBAM and they’re one of the best please give us a better option for the vpn service.
