It would be nice if we can define a maintenance window on the device, which allows the eero to perform actions that requires a reboot.
For example, we could define a schedule on Wednesday from 2 to 5 am. During that time, eero can perform update if necessary.
Another usage is that if we want to change some configuration that requires a reboot (dns, dhcp, etc), we could submit the change request, and eero can apply it on next maintenance window. (And if eero do implement this, make sure to have the option to apply now in case someone want to apply the settings immediately)
That way the end user can specify a window which is OK for network to go down.
That is true. I am working on a global project and sometimes I have meetings at 2 AM local time. It is important to define a window for maintenance. Or, hold the maintenance window for a specific time. This will be useful when kids are doing online exams and we must be definitive nothing disturbs the exam.
