Printers compatible with WPA2 AES-based CCMP encryption
Why doesn't EERO identify printers compatible with WPA2 AES-based CCMP encryption? (The printer manufacturers do not identify this compatibility in their literature. Did EERO establish a standard that is not yet adopted by printer manufacturers?)
No. eero has not developed any type of standard that is not already widely in use in relation to devices connecting to a wifi network. It is up to the printer manufacturers to decide what their printers can and cannot connect with. I am fairly familiar with getting printers connected to eero networks. What brand and model of printer are you having difficulties getting connected to your network?
Is it possible that your printer might only be able to connect to 2.4 GHz networks as well. You can temporarily disable the 5 GHz on your eero network to try and connect up your printer through the eero app. I have provided a link below that will help guide you through that process.
Let me know if you have any additional questions,
Your instructions at the link were helpful and allowed successful connection of most printers. The one printer indicating it is connected on the printer, but not on the eero app is a Brother MDW-9840CDW. Please advise.
Can you tell me if current versions of HP's Envy and Tango series are compatible? I'm having to replace my older Envy, which is not. Thank you.
I have a HP Officejet 4620 and facing the same issue with the printer not being compatible with WPA2 AES-based CCMP encryption. Any ideas how to resolve this? I really hope to avoid replacing the printer which is still in very good working condition.
I have a Canon Pixma WG3620. I just can't connect it to the Eero
James any recommendations on printers that work with WPA2 AES-based CCMP encryption? Thanks
I have a HP Deskjet 2632, it does not seem to have an Ethernet port nor USB (very odd I know) and I cannot connect it wirelessly as it only supports WPA… any other ways to connect it? Or should I save up some pennies?
Does eero support HP2700 all in one printers ? It looks as if it does not ? I do have a direct wireless work around but that is clunky
I have just bought a Canon PIXMA TS5160, and cannot for the life of me get it to connect to the Eero Wifi network - it never asks for a password, just tries and fails to connect. It connects to my phone's hotspot with ease.
I have Epson ET 2700, how do I connect to eero 6+ router? I tried 2.4GZ but it didn't work. What options do i have?
