HP printer stuck on a different beacon. Can’t wirelessly connect!

So the laptop is connected to the closest beacon. The printer keeps jumping to the next one that’s further away. This seems to not let the laptop connect wirelessly to the printer.

Both laptop and printer are HP products and less than 6 months old.

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!!

  • Well, I ended up solving my issue and wanted to share so anyone else with the same issue can possibly fix it.

I found out a LOT of my devices were still connecting to my Xfinity XFi modem/router.

So I logged into my Xfinity router and put it into Bridge Mode. This essentially turns off the WiFi from the Xfinity device and makes my Eero Pro do all the work.

What was happening was, my printers would be connecting through the Xfinity WiFi and my laptops were on the Eeros WiFi, so it was almost like being on two different networks (even though they weren’t).

After rebooting the system, both printers were quickly recognized by my laptops and all is well.
