Move a device to guest network

Hi, I'd like to submit for consideration the ability to move a device to guest network and back. My teenage kids are always giving out the main network password to their friends and I would like the ability to sand box them in the guest network later as to not clutter up my main network devices. Same goes for unknown devices that can be moved back later once you figure out what they are . Throttling guest network speed would be a bonus. Thank you🙂

The network a device is on is determined by the client... WiFi can't force a client to another SSID and pass the credentials.

txgunlover - if we were taught to never think out of the box, we might still be starting fires with sticks. An Administrator of a network should be able to do anything, and the first one to come out with new technology and greater features in any product is a leader in the marketplace. Eero does a great job listening to its consumers needs and who knows maybe they can pull this off, maybe not, but you still gotta ask .

Alvarezpab It's not a matter of thinking out of the box, but of adhering to standards, in this case the WiFi standard.  Allowing networks to force clients to other networks is a serious security concern.

What your asking for is not possible.  This is a client thing as client devices choose which network to be on.  There is NO method of forcing a client to join a network or even switch (which is effectively a join) to a new network.  That's now how WIFI works.  I understanding what you're asking for, but you also have to appreciate that NOT how Wifi works, and you can't just design it to work that way.    The only option you have it to not share your main password with your kids, and only give them the guest password.  Not ideal, but that is a good solution and easy to implement.
