Which eeros should I use
I have an eero network set up, but have poor performance. I have a good number of eero devices, but I'm not sure which ones I should use for the best performance. My home is a 2 story 1700sq foot home.
I have an eero 6+ as my gateway upstairs at one end of the house. I have a eero beacon in the kitchen which is almost directly below the eero 6+. At the other end of of the downstairs room I have an eero, which I use for connecting some wired devices.
Here's the list of equipment I own/have.
Model Number | Model | Qty |
J010011 | eero | 3 |
R010001 | eero 6+ | 1 |
D010001 | eero Beacon | 2 |
B010001 | eero Pro | 2 |

If your house is normal drywall walls, you have WAY too many eero devices in your house, which would explain the poor performance you’re experiencing. Just your one eero 6+ would probably cover your entire house, but if not put one more eero in a different part. Just two eero devices is all you should need and then you won’t be creating so much interference.
In comparison to you, I have a 4,000 sq/ft residence that I cover with only 3 eeros (I really only need two, but 3 helps get better signal in an upstairs loft).

Hi, that's a lot of eero's for your size home. I would use the 6+ as the gateway and then use one of the Pro's elsewhere (maybe both pros) but eliminate all the beacons and all the regular eero's.
