Eero 6 will not stay connected to ISP modem
My ISP modem is a Arris DG2470A in bridge mode. My eero gateway will connect but after a few hours, the eero will no longer pass traffic and shows offline. If I connect my pfsense firewall to the Arris and then connect the eero to the pfsense in a double nat config, the eero stays connected for days with no issues. Looking at the Arris logs, it seems the eero was repeatedly checking the Arris bridged IP for a dhcp update and the Arris did not like it and kicked the eero off the connection. Any way to modify how often the eero requests a dhcp update?

I have decided to leave the pfsense in between the Arris and the eero. Since the eero does not support vpn connections, I setup my vpn on the pfsense unit. Network is very stable now and I can use my vpn. The wifi mesh on the eeros is much better than the 2 Asus routers I was using in AiMesh mode. BTW, my Asus routers had the same issue with the Arris but on them, I could change how often they requested a dhcp update. Once I changed their setting from “aggressive” to normal they stopped getting disconnected. This only happens with the Arris modem in bridge mode.
