Pausing Devices

When I pause my children's devices, they are still able to access the internet. Obviously this defeats the purpose of this feature- help.

    Thank you for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community! When a device is paused on an eero network it prevents that device from accessing the internet.

    Do you have any other WiFi networks in the area that their devices might be connecting to?

    - Try clearing out all known networks on their devices and pause the device and test.

    Do you have the guest network active? 

    - Try changing the password or disabling the guest network.

    What types of devices are you experiencing this with?

  • The issue is happening with their iPods and their chromebooks. We only have the one network in the house (I mean we have several beacons, but no guest network setup.

      And when you use that device, then pause the device in the eero app they are still able to go to the internet and access websites? We will want to take a look at and troubleshoot this with you over the phone so we can do live testing. Can you please reach out to our phone support?
