eero secure blocks LAN IPs

Hi folks:

I have a printer on my eero wifi (192.168 IP) that used to be accessible on Nest Wifi. After switching to eero I get the eero secure whoopsie page.

I can ping the printer but eero blocks all http access to it. Any help in bypassing this would be helpful!

  • Hello perxam411,

Can you confirm if your printer is connected to your guest network? If so, you will not be able to access it.

  • I found the problem but don't have a solution. My ISP's gateway uses the 192.168.12.xxx range to dole out IP addresses. The eero uses the same range for the guest network. eero blocks all access to 192.168.12.xxx from any device so I can't get to the gateway or even the internet for that matter.

The problem is that the ISP modem is pretty dumb and eero does not allow custom IP ranges for guest.

Will turning off the guest network fix this or am I completely hosed and have to return my $800 worth of eero pro 6 gear???!
