Access Eero wifi without knowing the password

1. I changed my Eero Wifi password.

2. I added a guest network with password

3. I gave that guest account to my kids (so I could control turning it off and on)

4. My teenage son was still able to connect to my main network.

How????? He does not have the new password to my main network.

  • Hello ajsingh ,

They guessed the password. Or they have access to the eero app on their phone. You can also have their devices connect to the primary network and just use the pause device option to prevent their devices from accessing the internet.

You can also go into his device and forget the primary network from his network settings. But if he knows what the password is this will not help.

  • He does not have the eero app on his phone. I have verified that. He could not have guessed the password It was 15 characters long and one that i have never used before. I purposely used a very complicated and random password.

I have tried pausing and blocking, and he manages to get back onto the network almost instantly.

and lets assume he has the app on his phone and I don't know about it. How do I make sure the app stops functioning on his phone? I am unable to verify my account via email or Text message. I get a verification code on my phone, but the app never likes it. And the app does not recognize any of my email addresses as valid. How do I reset my eero password?

    • Hello ajsingh ,

Contact eero Support. We'll need to verify your account so we can help you look into this. eero networks are incredibly secure and your son guessing a 15 character password that you have never used before is highly unlikely.
