I live in a dense urban area where there's a lot of network and bandwidth completion in a tight living area.  To optimize my network speed (and reduce competition) it would be useful to manually set by 2.4 and/or 5 ghz broadcast channel.  In this way I could reduce interference and competition with default settings and commonly used channels.
