Speed test question

Hi! I installed 3 hardwired eero today for my new network. We have gigabit Ethernet and confirmed gigabit speeds on a hardwired iMac. Why am I getting such poor WiFi speeds? I tested WiFi speeds using iPhone 7 and fast.com and Speedtest.

Thanks!!

There are potentially a lot of different reasons. But let’s start with an easy one: have you checked to see if there’s an update for your eeros?

eero app > menu > network settings > network software

Thanks for reaching out, surgonc – sorry to hear you're having some concerns here! While it's important to keep in mind that you're not going to get gigabit speeds on your wireless devices (even with hardwired eeros), but the good news is that with the units hardwired you should have generally high and consistent speeds throughout the home.

I'd be happy to look into this further, so please shoot us an email with the subject line "Community Forum Speed Issues – attn: Drew" and I'll check out your network and follow up with you further. Thanks so much for taking the time to bring this to our attention, and we look forward to helping you further!

    Kindly,

    Drew, eero Community Team

Was their any resolution to this. I have the exact same problem, other than I'm not hardwiring my eeros.  I have a gigabit line, but I'm only getting between 80-100 mbps on any device (I have 6 deployed).
