Eero DHCP Settings question

We need to change our Eeero DHCP configuration to manual IP with an IP prefix of 172.17.x.x.  However, the admin UI (android) only allows for 172.16.0.0.  We can't use 172.16.x.x because that collides with another VNet.  Please help.

thanks

  • Hey Scott - this is definitely possible, so I'm unsure why you're getting an error. Here's the settings I'd use for that address range, just in case we have a value that's different in one of these fields:

    IP Address Prefix: 172.16.0.0

    Subnet IP: 172.17.0.0
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Starting IP: 172.17.0.20
    Ending IP: 172.17.0.254

  • To add to what Chris said, it is fine to use the 172.17.0.0 subnet, but the app UI doesn’t make it completely clear. When you select the option to use 172.16.0.0 from the list of 3 different options, you can then manually edit the subnet below that part on the screen and set it to 172.17.0.0.
