Allow ipv6 machines to accept incoming connections.

Right now it's not possible to host an ipv6 server from behind an eero. It is possible to host an ipv4 server with port forwarding. This is a feature request to make hosting an ipv6 server possible.

  • Much needed. I can't have an AAAA record for my home's DNS while using an Eero until it allows port forwarding through the IPv6 firewall.

Even the UPnP implementation on Eero (v3.10 firmware) does not appear to support the IGD:2 (RFC6970) protocol which would allow for IPv6 forwarding configurations.

But this feature shouldn't be made to rely on UPnP being enabled.

  • This appears to be in the app now:

Advanced Settings -> Reservations & Port Forwarding -> IPv6 Firewall Rules -> Add a firewall rule

  • Confirmed! ... and it even appears to work! 😄

    Thanks for the heads up.
