Ethernet connection to PC and Linux machine not working
Hello,
I'm a WOW user who updated to their Whole Home WiFi today and started using my Eero device. I'm having a problem with connecting devices via Ethernet and I was hoping to get some help.
Devices
PC (custom build windows 10, no firewall, no AV) via Ethernet (not working) or WiFi (Works fine)
Linux music server (NUC) via Ethernet (not working).
I also have a laptop and iPhone that connect fine over Ethernet.
Network Topology
I have an ISP provided Arris Touchstone CM8200 modem. This connects to my Eero.
The Eero then connects to a gigabit TP-Link unmanaged switch. The PC and Linux device connect to this switch. So, typically:
Arris > Eero > Switch > Devices
Note that I've also tried
Arris > Eero > Devices bypassing the switch and the same behavior occurs for the PC and Linux machine.
Eero Settings
My Eero settings are all default settings except for network name and password.
The Issue
Via an ethernet connection, regardless of whether it's through the switch or the Eero, I cannot seem to get any connectivity. My PC has no internet access and I can't reach my music server over the network.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Power cycled all devices, including all networking hardware
- Tried different Ethernet cables
- Used Fing to scan the network --- I do not see my music server (I see my PC when connected via WiFi only).
Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?
