changing to Eero - using same name as old network??

When I switch over to the Eero routers, if I name them the exact same Network name and password as my old network, will all my wireless devices automatically login to the new network?

    Hi  matt.passey

Welcome to the eero community! I did this and saw no issues 😉

Jeff C. Did you rename it as soon as you hooked it up, and got it working?

I also didn't change my network name or password. Everything connected to my Eeros almost before initial Eero setup completed, which I thought was incredibly cool. I've never had a wifi network work that well before, and makes for a great selling point when recommending Eero to personal friends, Facebook friends, and co-workers. And from the Enterprise point of view, getting the network up and running that fast is incredible.

Richard1864  I had all 3 eeros installed and running in 25 mins--most of the time was spent physically plugging them in.  23 devices reconnected automatically.  I did reboot the wifi on two of the specific devices themselves, but extremely easy process considering how hard it used to be to switch routers.  So far, I love eero!!

I have had nothing but trouble with the eero6. I am beginning to wish I never purchased it. Spent almost 2hrs with tech support try to get it to work. then I gave it the name and password of the system I was replacing and I still have had to enter the password on every device I have connected and I have some things that I can't get to connect. Not happy at all with this.
