NanoLeaf Canvas 2.4Ghz

So I recently got NanoLeaf Canvas tiles but they say they require 2.4Ghz. I know others have had problems with this, is there a way to separate the 2.4 and 5.0 bandwidths just to connect? Thanks

  • No, you cannot split out the bands into their own SSID. Some 2.4Ghz devices have issues connecting to eero, but from my own experience it’s the exception and not the rule. I have several 2.4GHz only devices connected without a problem. Give it a shot yourself, and if you have any issues, contact eero support. I know they’ll be happy to help.

  • Since I switched to eero routers, I could not connect to or pair with my nanoleaf panels, even after trying resetting and using different phones. Pairing always gets stuck in the last step.  Inspired by this post, I instead connected my nanoleaf panels to a 2.4GHz network created by an old wifi-extender, and it worked. Hope this is helpful to others.
