2.4 or 5 ghz
It would be nice to be able to see which device is hooked up to which radio, 2.4 or 5 ghz. Is that possible?

Hi WallaceT —
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the eero community!
It isn't possible to see which devices are connected to a specific network. The great thing about eero is that it automatically detects which connection is best for your device, and switches between the 2.4 and 5 ghz channel seamlessly.
Seeing this granular of information is a request we've seen in the past, and I'll be happy to share this feedback with our team.
Thanks again!

On a slightly different note, I would like to ‘fix’ it so that a particular device only connects at 2.4. I feel like that may be possible through a reservation but I’m not sure. The issue is a new Amazon Echo that is capable of connecting at 5 but because of the walls between it and the eero it cuts out intermittently and is extremely annoying. I’d like to set it to ONLY connect at 2.4 but I’m not sure exactly how to do that. Please help.

I wish they would fix it.

If you want a better and a longer range for your devices, use 2.4 GHz. If you need higher r speed and could sacrifice for range, the 5GHz band should be used. The 5GHz band, which is the newer of the two, has the potential to cut through network clutter disturbance and interference to maximize network performance.
