Multiple SSIDs for IOT segregation

Many IOT residential devices are manufactured in China; many brands (example: Gosund) use Chinese cloud services where privacy concerns are well known . SSID partitions will allow customers to segregate IOT devices (and its backing Chinese cloud services) to a secure , isolated network. Please implement ; security is day one , job zero at Amazon which you are now a part of .

    I don't think we should single out a country (despite any incidents) but I agree that we should have a third IoT SSID with it's own password and subnet.

    Rather than a separate SSID, it would be nice to have a Profiles setting that isolated devices assigned to that profile so they could only connect to the Internet (WAN) and not connect to any other devices the local network (LAN or WiFi). You could then put all your IoT devices in that Profile and know they can only phone home but not connect to any other devices.

    Profiles would be good but there are some things to be aware of:

    Most IOT devices work fine not being able to see each other, but some do not

    Some IOT devices won't work if 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz share the same SSID, which of course is usually the case. I've had IOT devices I could not set up unless I disabled 5 GHz temporarily. After setup I was able to re-enable 5 GHz.

    Alas this topic is 2 years old and still not even under investigation :'(

    Yes, from a security perspective, this is a definite nicety.  I know of another vendor (Ubiquiti Amplifi) that has this functionality.
