Manual IP config issues for some devices on eero pro 6e
I have set up eero pro 6e mesh system with a manual ip range but having issues with some devices connecting to the internet.
I used the details
ip address prefix - 192.168.1.0
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
start ip 192.168.1.20
end ip 192.168.1.254
My existing modem/router is on 192.168.1.254 with wifi turned off (BT setup)
when i plug my hive hub via ethernet into one of the eero's it shows as connected but doesn't actually connect to the internet, always says the hub is offline. Also if I connect my iPhone 13 pro to the wifi it shows as connected but no webpages load etc so similar issue but some devices work fine..
could it be my IP address range? As I noticed when changing stuff back on BT hub the server range is set as 192.168.1.64-192.168.1.253
As its BT Ive had to leave the BT router all set up but with wifi disabled as there is no option to set to modem only for BT
Just need to use a different subnet range and you’ll be fine (if you had left the eero in its default of 192.168.4.x you wouldn’t have encountered this issue). This issue is caused by the conflict of the double-NAT situation you’re in with your ISP router and eero router. Having both in the same subnet range means the eero can’t properly route the traffic.
