Need extension for power cable

Wondering if I can use something like this for an extension to power cable:

https://www.amazon.com/Extension-VCZHS-Charging-Nintendo-Macbook/dp/B078HPZ53S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1517997011&sr=8-3&keywords=usb%2Bc%2Bextension%2Bcable&th=1

Need a little bit more length for putting on top of a specific bookcase, where a regular extension cord just won't work.

  • Hi MrDoh

You should be able to use any compliant USB-C power adapter that has a 9v profile capable of delivering at least 2100 mA. Hope this helps!

  • Jeff, thanks for your reply. I was asking about extending the type c usb power cord that comes with the eero, don’t want to replace the whole ac adapter. Did you follow the link that I posted and look at that? I’m betting not.

Sorry for the confusion, I was passing those details along to make sure the extension was compatible with those requirements.

Since we haven’t tested any third-party extensions or adapters, I wouldn’t be able to say with 100% confidence it would be OK, however, I would at least ensure any extension cord is able to support those requirements.

  • Again, I appreciate the reply. I’ve seen that reddit thread. Unfortunately, doesn’t answer my question, just adds more *smile*..

  • Just wanted to chime in on the topic as I had a similar issue. I needed a 6-foot type C extension cable and after doing some research decided on this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JN1DDXB/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Using it in conjunction with the original eero type C power supply for a few months now without any issue.
