How do I block a website for a specific user?

I have profiles set up for all devices in the house, but want to have the ability to block specific websites for specific profiles (otherwise I'd ditch Eero plus and use an OpenVPN solution - but would rather this be user-specific)

after much research and experiment i finally settled for Circle Home plus lifetime device which works very well, right now i have added next to eero but i am planning to get rid off eero and replace with my old router and make my own mesh.

anil001   So if I understand you correctly, you have the v2 Eero Mesh, no profiles, not using Eero Secure, plugged into an add-on Circle device and it's a beautiful thing?  That's what I need.  While I love the eero connectivity, reliability, speed, etc., the lack of site specific parental controls is making me lose my mind.

Very disappointing to see this thread going for two years and still no ability to simply block a specific website nor any parental controls. Will be unplugging all my Eero Devices this week and going with a different solution.

Look, with everyone's kids at home right now, you're losing customers daily. You MUST ADD this ability to the eero or you will continue to lose customer after customer. It's not enough to PAUSE devices or schedule these pauses. You need to be able to schedule URL access and pause access to SITES, as well. People have been asking for this for 2 years now, there is no excuse anymore. GET IT DONE.

Wujo Really? You don't know me from Adam, and that's your response? You're what's wrong with the world today. I do tell them no, all the time. I have three successful teenagers who are functional, good upstanding human beings, whom I am incredibly proud of. Sod off.

Hello, Sieglock, you mentioned 2 months ago that this feature was being worked on and would be available in late summer.  Do you have an update on this feature being available?

I hadn't chimed in here yet.  Though I did call support and express my desire for per-device/profile site blacklisting (even if just via simple DNS; nothing too fancy; I don't need to block all potential workarounds).

I have 4 eero Pros in what otherwise might be a sweet setup.  I got the 4th specifically so I could route the whole network through 1 eero so I could use eero Secure.  Now, I think maybe I wasted money on that and maybe can get something with better controls?  Used to tell my friends how great and easy eero is, and it almost is, but if you need this feature, might as well look elsewhere at this point.

Please step up here eero.  Many of us otherwise think you're a great option and would like to recommend you.

eero is really a substandard product and I would never recommend it to anyone. All marketing and no tech. An option to approve new devices would immediately solve my issues and is simple to incorporate. Blocking by IP/domain/subdomains should be included. An eero representative said they were working on this fix but I guess that was fake news. Meanwhile, anyone who wants to access my network (and everyone else who uses an eero) has free reign because anyone can do it in a few minutes with grade school level software. If you are considering using eero - do not do it. Its a trap. It does not work. Terrible product.

Literally just signed up based on google searches and tech support. I need to block youtube ASAP. Disappointed this hasn't been solved as yet.

I've replied a few times to this question so thought I'd send an update.  I just added Disney Circle Home Plus to our eero network.  We used to have Circle v1, but it never worked well.  I have it plugged into an 8-port switch off my gateway eero.  I removed eero profiles and then re set them up in Circle.  Much deeper blocking tech with Circle.

mrpme1  How is the performance with the Circle Home Plus? I have considered going this route but I read comments saying the ARP Poisoning approach used could degrade overall network performance.

Sieglock Will there be an announcement or further information posted here on this chain or where?  I would not want to have an update pushed out without some background, especially on this topic.

icarswell Currently, I'm tracking one device (microsoft surface) while at home.  We've had to work with the Teen/Adult settings since it was blocking some school websites.  Still continuing to test with just home devices, but I haven't noticed low performance.  I'll look further at ARP to confirm.

mrpme1 - yes! When we launch we will make sure everyone knows about the new functionality. And we will update open feature requests in the community feed with new information.

Sieglock Will it have the ability to pause (aka turn on/off) certain websites like Youtube)?  I can wait another week or two if it will.
